Richard Gingras, CEO of Salon Media Group, is stepping down. Gingras has been CEO of Salon since 2009. According to The New York Times, Gingras had recently been searching for a company to purchase Salon.com, but called it off when talks with Newser ended without a deal.
Gingras has had a part in Salon since 1995, when he helped gather money to found the commentary site.
