Microsoft has a new look. The company just took the wraps off its new corporate branding. Replacing the previous logo is a staunch, four pane colored window very reminiscent of the grid layout scheme found in Microsoft's latest products. Microsoft is also spelled in a simple, bond font -- most likely Segoe.

Study Of Presidential Race Finds Coverage Of Candidates Overwhelmingly Negative (Forbes)
When it comes to presidential politics, the media is doing a fairly poor job of mediating. Coverage of Obama and Romney is increasingly driven by the campaigns themselves, resulting in one of the most negative elections this country has seen in decades. That's the conclusion of a new study by the Pew Research Center's Project for Excellence in Journalism, which looked at more than 800 news stories produced by top newspapers, websites, and television and radio shows during the general election campaign.

PBS Only Broadcaster To Offer 3+ Hours Of Convention Coverage In Primetime (TVNewser)
PBS -- which has the benefit of being a not-for-profit TV network -- will offer substantially more primetime coverage than any other broadcaster, with coverage running each night of the conventions from 8-11PM. During the coverage there will be a number of segments featuring analysis, commentary and interviews, including contributors David Brooks and Mark Shields, analysis from "NewsHour" political editor Christina Bellantoni, and reports from the convention floors.
