Verified Journalists On Twitter Get Pimped Out Muck Rack Profile Pages
Okay journalists, your time has come! Muck Rack is offering “verified” journalists a pimped out profile page that we think you’re going to love.
Why?
“It’s a great way to get more followers, further your career and humblebrag about your best work.”
What is Muck Rack? It’s a platform that gathers, filters and analyses tweets from journalists around the world. And whether you’re a journalist looking to network or a PR person trying to find journalists to pitch to, you should be on there.
Okay, but how does someone obtain the “verified journalist” status?
You need to be a journalist employed by a recognized journalistic outlet or a freelancer who has current bylined work. Or both. And you need to be active on Twitter. You can learn more about the criteria here.
And once you’re verified, you can edit your profile, add portfolio items, awards you’ve won, what you do/don’t cover and answer a few interview questions about how you use social media to round out your profile.

And if you want to see some more profiles in action, check out these guys (and girls):
- NPR’s Andy Carvin
- Huffington Post’s Craig Kanalley
- NY Times’s Jenna Wortham,
- PandoDaily’s Erin Griffith
Pretty cool, huh? So will you be signing up for a free profile?
