How much money does the world of e-commerce generate every 30 seconds?
More than $1.2 million.
Let’s think about that number for a second. One point two million dollars, every half a minute.
It’s a figure that’s hard to digest, so it might help if we break it down. Almost a million dollars are done in desktop sales over that short period, and a further $269,683 in mobile.
$684,669 is spent on credit, debit, prepaid and store cards, and $516,504 in alternative payments.
Amazon soaks up almost $100K all by itself, eBay does $74,423 in business and Apple processes $17,803. And in social media, Facebook ($5,483), Pinterest ($4,504) and Twitter ($4,308) all generate a ton of sales.
