Circulation: 150,000 Background: Aimed at travelers seeking an "authentic" Caribbean escape, Bonnier Corporation's Caribbean Travel + Life has dedicated itself to focusing on the culture, cuisine, history, resorts and activities around the Caribbean for over 25 years. New editor-in-chief Matthew Phenix says the mission is "to savor and celebrate the natural assets and culture of the Caribbean, to win new enthusiasts of the region, and to inspire the faithful to return again and again." Format changes have occurred recently, however. "Two issues after a front-to-back redesign," says Phenix, "we're still looking closely at ways to better serve our readers. As the magazine evolves, "We aspire to serve the full spectrum of enthusiasts, from the Caribbean loyalists, who have extensive experience in and knowledge of the region, to the Caribbean-curious, who have experience in one or two Caribbean destinations or none at all." Get out your snorkel, because this publication is wide open to contributors. "As we reconsidered our editorial approach for the re-design of CT+L, we created issues mostly in-house, but now that we're getting up to speed and firming up our definitions of the sections and our expectations for writers, opportunities for freelancers are growing," he says. "I'm always happy to receive a well-considered pitch."... ![]() The How to Pitch series is worth its weight in gold. In just the first month I'd already benefited enough to consider the cost of joining well worth it. -- Gaen MurphreeAvantGuild benefits give you access to:
