Howard Kurtz is Joining Fox News

Howard Kurtz — who was last seen getting fired from The Daily Beast for writing a stupid column that questioned if Jason Collins was “telling the whole story” — is headed to Fox News. Kurtz was the Daily Beast’s Washington bureau chief and penned the site’s Spin Cycle blog. He also hosted CNN’s Reliable Sources, and was a veteran of The Washington Post.

At Fox News, Kurtz will host Fox News Watch, a media-cenrtic show. He’ll also lend his take to stories to various other Fox News programs and write a column for FoxNews.com. The latter, according to a release will be focused on “social media news, industry trends and breakthroughs, in addition to looking at how media are used in politics.”

Kurtz’s appointment is effective July 1.
