New York Times Taps New Deputy Op-Ed Editor

Sewell Chan has been named the new Deputy Op-Ed Editor for The New York Times. Chan announced the move just a few minutes ago via Twitter.

Chan has written for the Times since moving on from The Washington Post in 2004. In 2007, he was the first Bureau Chief for City Room. He has reported on a wide range of subjects, including Hurricane Katrina and the MTA strike in 2005.
