New York Times’ ‘Well’ Blog Gets a Redesign

Well,” a blog on The New York Times’ site, has a new look. Today its editor, Tara Parker-Hope, said that the redesign is intended to make topics and news easier to find, and indeed at first glance the blog is much cleaner than before. Helping keep things organized is a navigation bar and a space to sort topics like “Fitness,” “Love,” “Mind” and more. Well will add new content too; there will be a “Vegan for Beginners” series and a book review.

“In the four-plus years since Well was introduced in the Science and Health section of The New York Times, Well has become a popular online destination for news and features that help readers live healthier lives every day,” writes Parker-Hope, and she speaks the truth.

It’s not often that the Times gives a blog its own look (Dealbook and Bits are two included in that small group) so Parker-Hope must be doing something — actually, a lot of things — right.
