New York’s Design Director Moves to Vanity Fair

Chris Dixon, the man responsible for the wonderful look of New York magazine, is moving on to Vanity Fair. Dixon has been with New York since 2004, and almost instantly brought the magazine recognition for the changes he implemented. At Vanity Fair, he will succeed David Harris who is reducing his role and will act as Design Editor-at-Large.

Graydon Carter was obviously pleased with getting such a great designer as Dixon. “Chris Dixon is arguably the most formidable design talent in the magazine business,” said Carter. “I look forward to seeing the subtle and sophisticated innovations he will be bringing to Vanity Fair.”
