Rodale Exec Heads to Hearst to Lead Newly Created ‘Men’s Enthusiast Group’

Jack Essig – who most recently was with Rodale as Senior Vice President and Publisher of Men’s Health and Women’s Health – has been named Senior Vice President, Publishing Director and Chief Revenue Officer of Esquire. He will also lead Hearst Magazine’s newly-created Men’s Enthusiast Group, which includes EsquirePopular Mechanics, Car and Driver and Road & Track.

Essig will report directly to Michael A. Clinton, President, Marketing and Publishing Director. Clinton said of adding Essig to the team, “Jack has a 360-degree approach to magazine brands, which is essential for a publishing executive in this day and age. His experience in the men’s space, combined with his energy and ideas, will be instrumental in taking EsquirePopular MechanicsCar and Driver, and Road & Track to the next level of success.”

Essig’s first day will be July 25.
