Time Launches Sports Blog

Please prepare yourself for sports pun overload. All set? Okay, here we go. Time is hoping for a home run with its new sports blog, Keeping Score. The site will be quarterbacked by Sean Gregory, who has been on the Time team for about 10 years. Keeping Score will feature more than just stats; its goal is to tackle all the related controversies and issues.

“By writing about everything from U.S. favorites such as football, basketball, baseball, hockey, tennis, golf and college sports to international passions like soccer, cricket, rugby, gymnastics and of course the Olympics, the new blog will cover the areas that play out in the sports arena — business, economics, culture, politics, health, and as we’ve seen with Tebowmania, religion,” said Time.com’s Managing Editor, Catherine Sharick.

Gregory will lead the blog’s squad, but he’ll have plenty of help. Ishaan Tharoor, Hannah Beech, Nick Carbone, Bobby Ghosh, Tony Karon, Adam Sorensen, Glen Levy, Alice Park, Feifei Sun, Nate Rawlings, Josh Sanburn, Tim Morrison and Bill Saporito will all contribute winning content.

We’d go on, but we’re sure that blitz of information is more than enough.
