The New York Times is reporting that Marie Colvin and Rémi Ochlik, both working in Syria, were killed yesterday. Colvin, an Oyster Bay native, was on assignment for the Sunday Times, and Ochlik was there photographing the chaos engulfing the country.
Both were killed during a bombing, which brought Wednesday’s total casualties to 80.
As TVNewser notes, Colvin appeared on “AC360″ mere hours before her death.
