Sportswriter Jessica Ghawi Among 12 Killed in Denver Dark Knight Massacre

Last night in Denver, a masked gunman opened fire on moviegoers during a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises. Twelve people were killed. Among the dead was sportswriter Jessica Ghawi, who, as Deadspin notes, blogged about sports for Busted Coverage under the name Jessica Redfield. Tragically, the shooting that took her life was the second Ghawi had been in the middle of in as many months. In June, she was present at the Eaton Centre mall shooting in Toronto that killed one and seriously injured six.
