Fresno Teen Rides Ashton Kutcher Tweet Wave
Earlier this month, YouTube sensation Ryan Beatty appeared on Great Day, a TV show on Fresno’s Fox affiliate KMPH. But that was nothing compared to Friday, April 15th, when Ashton Kutcher tweeted out a link and wondered if Beatty was “Justin Bieber 2.0.”
This week, Beatty has come to Los Angeles during spring break to meet with record company executives, even though — per the Fresno Bee — he’s already got offers on the table. Here’s how the 15-year-old Clovis High School student described to the newspaper the aftermath of that @aplusk tweet:
“My phone was blowing up,” Beatty says. “People were calling me, texting me. My Facebook was filled with notifications. It also helped me realize that this is really serious.”
You can check out Beatty for yourself at YouTube.com/TheRyanBeatty. Meanwhile, his first official concert is scheduled for May 2nd at the Appellation California winery in Madera. Tickets are $8 for kids, $10 for adults.
