How Much Does It Cost To Make An Android App?

How much does it cost to make an Android app? According to Quora users, the price can range from $600-$150,000, depending on what you are making.

Michael Burton, Android Developer of Groupon & Digg among others, wrote: “Depends quite a bit on a variety of things, especially on the complexity of the app, but one quote for an app that takes about six weeks (low to average complexity) would be about $35,000.  This is probably on the low to mid end in the range of quotes.”

Andrej Kostresevic, a mobile developer, wrote: “We’ve created apps for $600 (one day of work, mainly customizing an open source barcode reader) to $150,000 (2 developers and 4 months of development time). So, it varies greatly, based on what you are looking for. When we are asked for the cost of an “average” app, we say $30-$40K, along with a caveat that there is no such thing as an ‘average’ app.”

Brett Miller, of customsoftwarebypreston.com, wrote: “The very minimum price for building a simple mobile app is around $3,000.  This can very greatly based on quality and features.  If the price is lower than that I would be very concerned about quality of deliverable.”
