Today, the Breitbart News Network announced the launch of Breitbart California, with Senior Editor-at-Large Joel Pollak serving as Editor and Jon Fleishman as Politics Editor. In February, Breitbart News launched similar verticals covering London and Texas.
“For years, California has been written-off by conservatives as too far past the point of return, but the truth is every single day there are stories worth telling about the successes of the conservative movement in California and the failures of the left-wing establishment,” said Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon. He also cited the rise of San Francisco libertarians and the success of San Diego Republicans as evidence of a conservative renaissance in the state.
Providing content for this week’s launch is an impressive list of prominent voices including Sen. Rand Paul (R-Kentucky), House Republican WHIP and Congressman Kevin McCarthy (R-Bakersfield), Congressman Tom McClintock (R-Elk Grove), Former CAGOP Chairman and Lt. Governor candidate Ron Nehring, GOP Gubernatorial candidate Neel Kashkari, GOP Gubernatorial candidate Tim Donnelly, former state legislator and Congressional candidate Tony Strickland, Claremont Institute President Brian Kennedy, former Reagan Administration economist Art Laffer, Pacific Research Institute Senior Business & Economics Fellow Wayne Winegarden, conservative talk radio host Roger Hedgecock, KPRL conservative talk radio host Dan Del Campo, Fox News host Greg Gutfield, former state legislator Chuck DeVore, and actor Orson Bean.
