katiecouric.jpgCounting down the final installments of Anne Schroeder’s Names & Faces column, we see again today why just being nice in public can win some style points: Katie Couric, who’s been taking her fair share of criticism recently, won over the passengers of her D.C.-N.Y. shuttle flight yesterday.

“The ‘Today’ co-host gave away a coveted aisle seat, willingly sat in the dreaded, awful middle seat, and when she was offered cashews by a flight attendant, shared with everyone within reach and signed autographs.

“‘It was amazing how nice she was,’ a fellow passenger with no pro-Couric agenda told us. ‘She’s a real class act.’”
