Chip Kidd Gets Down With His Prize-Winning Self![]() Stephanie Murg from the mediabistro.com design blog Unbeige was there last Thursday night when Chip Kidd DJ'ed the National Design Awards afterparty, shortly after receiving the asterisk-shaped award for communications design from Paul Simon, who recruited Kidd to do his most recent album cover. (And did you know that three of this year's Pulitzer Prize-winning books were designed by Kidd?) During his acceptance speech, Kidd addressed the increasing fear that print is dead or dying: "For anyone who's worrying, books are not going away, worry not!" he told the crowd.
