Is Twitter a Search Engine or Social Medium?(online poll)

What do you think and why: is Twitter a social media tool or a search tool? Think about the way Google works and the plans for Microsoft’s Bing and then consider this: what does Twitter do for you?

In this article, I talked about the role of friends in our everyday lives; they are influencers. I also mention how Twitter brings each of us closer, in the digital realm anyway, and in the same way permits us to be influencers of one another.

Lately I’ve been asking the AgencySpy Twitter community various questions &#151 from which New York production houses you think are the best to where you like to grab a drink. Sure, I could go Google some Yelp reviews or check out thefwa but it’s much easier to just ask one of you (and I get that human interaction goodness).

So if you asked me, I’d say Twitter is more like Google (or any search site that answers questions) for me, despite the fact that I also use it to communicate on other subjects.

Note: if Bing adds some human element to search, they might have a shot.
