Labatt Ditches Downtown And Hard

We don’t have the man power to get international most of the time, but we’re going to right now, considering for Canadian brewing company, Labatt.

The company has handed a large part of its business to Publicis Groupe SA. This comes after Labatt took stock of their agency roster and awarded its largest account, Budweiser, to Grip without a review. The incumbent Downtown Partners was also left out of bidding for Labatt’s other business. You know they were pissed. Labatt has gone from having five agencies to just two.

It’s just another example of brands getting smart and slimming down.
