Publicis Groupe Latest Holding Firm to Boast Strong Q3

Just days after rival Omnicom reported net income and revenue increases during Q3 of this year, Publicis Groupe has followed suit in its earnings call this morning. The Paris-based company, home to Publicis (of course), Fallon, Saatchi & Saatchi and so on, said today that its sales for the third quarter of 2010 grew by 26.1 percent on the year to $1.85 billion.

In terms of organic growth, Publicis Groupe’s revenue increased 9.2 percent versus the same period last year (with North America leading the way),  a figure that CEO Maurice Levy attributes to the upturn in the global advertising market and the success of his company’s investments in digital and emerging markets. The 9.2 percent growth in fact beat analysts’ predictions of a 7 percent growth spurt and overall revenue of $1.25 billion.

In an interview with EuroBusinessMedia, Levy says, “With such a number, I think that the best thing I can do is a big smile. Yes, I’m happy, as Droopy would say. I think that we have been very lucky with the strategies that we have developed. We have a very strong organic growth on digital. Emerging markets, which we now call fast-growing markets, have responded extremely well, and all the regions are up.” To get video insight from Levy, EBM also posted a video chat with the man himself, which you can check out here.
