Six Months On, Frontier Finds, Er, New Frontier at Hyper Marketing
As we continue to thaw out from last night’s Nor’easter, we’ll let you know that Stamford, CT-based telecom carrier Frontier Communications has found a new integrated marketing agency of record in Hyper Marketing, which is basically the amalgam of SolutionSet MediaWhiz partnership and D.L. Ryan Companies that was formed at the beginning of the year.
To refresh a memory or two, Frontier parted ways in May with Campbell Mithun, which worked with the brand for just 18 months before newly installed CMO Craig Coffey decided to conduct a new agency search. Says Coffey in a determined statement, “We are on a mission to drive strong business results by building the Frontier brand in the marketplace. Hyper Marketing consistently demonstrated throughout our search process that they had the talent, passion, intelligence and executional expertise to deliver the results we need.”
Frontier, as we’ve been told, conducted the usual “competitive review” (we’re, once again, trying to get some word on other shops involved) and as a result of its decision, HMI has created “Team Frontier” (as you do these days) that will be tasked with TV, digital, print and direct marketing duties. Hyper Marketing’s CatapultRPM unit will serve as the hub for the Frontier work moving forward.
