The Conversation Should be About Trust

Here at the Circus where a panel including HappyCorp er, ADC, er TAXI’s Doug Jaeger, Razorfish’s Garrick Schmitt, Fanscape’s Larry Weintraub and ConversationAgent Valeria Maltoni &#151 and each of them spoke about varying aspect of the same thing, except for Jaeger who played a slideshow from one of his social media projects.

Anyway, the idea they were all bouncing around, but never really hit on, was the need to build consumer’s trust. Maltoni and Weintraub got the closest when they talked about the need to be authentic when talking with consumers. Specifically Weintraub got on the subject of interacting in the digital space.

It was a little frustrating that no one came out and said, “you just need to get to know your customers, and build their trust.” Maybe that’ll be the hot topic next year.
