The Third Suit’s the Charm for Twitter

gavel2.jpg

Looks like Tony La Russa will just have to get in line with his own Twitter grievance. First, it was the St. Louis Cardinals manager that sued for Twitter fakery, then there was the ill-fated, ill-conceived defamation case and now comes something a bit more valid: a patent lawsuit from Texas-based company TechRadium.

The tech firm has referred to three issued patents and is claiming that it developed the idea of mass notifications first. TechCrunch reports that Twitter probably knew this was inevitable, pondering months ago if it should “get a great patent attorney to proactively go after these patents.” If a good patent attorney isn’t available, there’s always Shaq and Ashton Kutcher to come to Twitter’s defense.
