Erik Proulx might be the next American advertising hero of our time. Wait, was there ever one before him? The former Arnold adman has given us PleaseFeedTheAnimals dot com, a site for the recently unemployed ad-person and Lemonade, a documentary following the lives of 15 aderati who have made new lives for themselves after being laid. off.

Proulx (pronounced “proo”) spoke about the movie today on The Menu. The film is tentatively set to debut in October, says Proux, but he isn’t exactly sure because at a total cost of zero, it’s hard to pin an editor down.

Regarding the major headlines, Proulx worries that the Razorfish/Publicis story could result in another dearth of creativity. It’s a good listen.
