Today’s Ad Ripoff Inclusion: Grey’s DirectTV vs. GlobalHue’s FiOS
We’re well aware that one good idea begets a hundred copycats on a regular basis, which is why we try to keep the ad ripoff coverage to a minimum. But sometimes it’s hard to ignore the similarities, as one tipster (a GlobalHue staffer, perhaps?) says there are between the two ads below, the top being a Verizon FiOS spot for the Hispanic market from GH and the bottom a new entry from Grey for DirecTV. Maybe the latter should have just stuck with continuing the amusing “Opulence” work, but is the resemblance below worth crying foul over?
