Toyota Suppliers Raided by FBI, Maybe Now They’ll Stop Advertising

Three suppliers of Toyota parts have been raided by the FBI according to Barrons. Denso International is the company that makes their accelerator pedals. Yazaki North America and Tokai Rika make electronics. It is not clear if any of these companies made parts that were involved in the recent recalls.

The raids occurred last night, and apparently everyone is complying. The FBI are looking for documents pertaining to “antitrust violations and hiding quality problems.”

Nonetheless, this is bad for the beleaguered brand which should really stop advertising at this point. Really. Stop.
