Reliable sources are telling us that Diageo has called a review for the global ad account of its Tanqueray gin brand, which has been held by Wieden + Kennedy since October 2008. From what we’ve been told, W+K, Mother and two other as-yet-unknown agencies are involved in the pitch, which is expected to get underway in the next couple of weeks. Under W+K’s watch, Tanqueray rolled out a global campaign last year called “Resist Simple,” which was done out of the agency’s Amsterdam office. But we’re still not sure if it was as memorable as the Grey-created Tony Sinclair effort.
