Wieden’s Super Bowl Ad for Coke Looks Exactly Like an 8 Year-Old Yotvata Spot

In the third quarter of Sunday’s game you probably noticed this spot for Coca-Cola. In it, a guy sleep-walks from his tent in the middle of the desert to a fridge somewhere far away, takes a swig of Coke and heads back to bed. First of all &#151 his morning-tooth-sweaters would be nasty. Second, this ad has already been done by Israeli Milk maker, Yotvata. See above.

The Jerusalem Post reports that even the song, Ravel’s Bolero, is the same, “creating an uncanny resemblance”.

Tel Aviv based Shalmor Avnon Amichay/Young & Rubicam is the agency behind the Yotvata spot.

Wieden did not immediately respond to a request for comment. h/t RW.
