Here’s a PSA from 1995 where a a bunch of 5th graders figured out most of why and how we use the web. They were asked the question, ‘Why should I be on the Internet?’ and they answered with some not-so-wild predictions of how the internet will be used by the time they are in college.

The 5th graders in this PSA went to Ray Bjork School in Helena, Montana. They would be in their late 20s now, so that would put them in college in the middle aughts, where they expected to do things like chat with long-distance friends, visit the planet Jupiter, learn about the rainforest and most importantly, how to get that recipe to make cat food cupcakes from the “Feline Information Page.” (Via Gizmodo)
