Danae Ayusso: Digital Writer Spotlight
29-year-old author Danae Ayusso joined the reading and writing community at WattPad in January 2009. Since then, she’s written over one million words–earning 1.5 million views and 2,000 fans on Wattpad. Follow this link to read more of her work.
Wattpad Inc. CEO Allen Lau praised her work: “Ayusso has published over twenty stories on Wattpad and has done an amazing job using Wattpad’s social networking platform to increase her fan base. Danae uses Wattpad to connect with her readers by joining in on fan’s conversations and responding to comments and questions posted on the site, on Twitter and on Wattpad’s Facebook page. Most impressive–and contrary to what many authors fear–is how Danae has acquired readers who, even after reading her content for free, cannot wait to purchase a paper copy of her novels.”

Here is a brief excerpt from Ayusso’s book, Forbidden Alliance: A Werewolf’s Tale.
A century ago vampires and werewolves were immortal enemies. Our two kinds fought until near extinction on both sides. Finally, they said screw it and threw in the towel so to speak. Each side decided, and agreed, that the life loss was ridiculous and that there was no reason why we couldn’t coexist peacefully. However, you will be hard pressed to find werewolves and vampires in the same territory. The war might have ended, but the memories are still vivid in most immortals’ minds. Only time will tell if time is enough to change their perspective of each other.
Personally, I’ve never met a vampire before. I’ve heard countless rumors and have seen many movies and read endless books, but I never actually met one. It wasn’t anything that was on my list of things to do. Oh well, what can I do? My father is the chief and alpha male, so I will do what he asks of me, like always.
