E-Ink to Increase Production 15x Over 2008

In an interview with XConomy Boston, E-Ink’s new boss, T.H. Peng of Prime View International (which acquired E-Ink), talks about his vision of the company’s future.

Teleread has a nice summary of the main points of the long interview. Peng said the company increase production by 3x this year, and if you multiply that by it’s 5x increase in 2009, you get a lot more E-Ink screens since 2008.

Color E-Ink screens should be available by the end of 2010, and a Chinese company has a color E-Ink eReader in the works for 2011.
