Unknown Tales Lets Readers Choose Their Own Adventure

The interactivity in digital publishing has opened the doors for the choose-your-own adventure novel.

The website Unknown Tales aims to make fiction interactive and collaborative. Readers can create characters and decide what genre story they will live -mystery, adventure, romance, horror, and so on. From the site: “Unknown Tales is a collaborative interactive fiction site where you work with other members of the site to create choose your own adventure stories.”

The featured story on the homepage is called a mystery called The Forgotten and was uploaded by SophEPhaux. “You find yourself in an abandoned house. You have no memory of how you got there or even who you are. There are too many questions to be answered, so all you can do for now is to find help and safety.”

Registration is free, so it’s worth a try.
