Kelly Dinardo: The FishbowlDC Interview
What word do you routinely misspell? I used to have a problem with occasion. Then I realized there's no ass in it. Lately I've been having trouble with titillation -- can't get the right combination of t's and l's. What's the name of your cell phone ring? Vibe & Ring What time did you get up this morning? Six. When did you last cry and why? I teared up last night while chopping onions for lobster risotto, but that's not what you want to know is it? How many emails do you receive a day, roughly? Are we counting spam for Viagra? If not, probably about 100. What's your favorite letter? The one written inside a card I got with a dog on the cover that looks my pup Dudley. What single person played the biggest role / had the biggest influence on your journalism career? It's a tie between my mom and Anthony Summers. My mom taught me to love books and Tony taught me how to research them. Read the rest when you click below...(and see previous FishbowlDC interviews: Julie Mason, David Shuster, Joe Curl, Alex Pareene, Peter Beinart, Jonah Goldberg, Megyn Kendall, Ana Marie Cox, Jim Brady, Howard Mortman, Amy Argetsinger, Jose Antonio Vargas, Chuck Todd, Tom Gottlieb, Kelly Ann Collins, David von Drehle, David Lat, Mark Leibovich, Zain Verjee, David Plotz, Paul Kane, Karen Travers, Mark Halperin, Hugo Gurdon, Greg Kelly,Ken Rudin, John Dickerson, Anne Schroeder, Spencer Ackerman, Bret Baier, Bob Sellers, Greta van Susteren, Danielle Jones, Jonathan Salant, John McCalla, Pam Hess, Ryan Grim, Marc Ambinder, Marty Kady, Jack Shafer, Annie Lou Bayly, Jerry Zremski, Charlie Cook, Dave Hughes, Howard Fineman, Katie Tarbox, Mark Segraves, Chris Cillizza, Tom Sietsema, Bill Triplett, Robin Givhan, David Brody, Norah O'Donnell, Carl Cannon, Jordan Lieberman, David Folkenflik, Molly Henneberg, Ernesto Londono, Brody Mullins, Aaron Blake, Martha Raddatz, Andrew Sullivan, Christina Bellantoni, Shane Harris, Nora McAlvanah, Adam Nagourney, Erin McPike, Mike Memoli, Ju-Don Marshall Roberts, Arthur Delaney, Chris Mincher, Rachel Sklar, Laura Sullivan, Jeff Kosseff, Matthew Cooper, Scott McCrary, Dan Reilly, Jennifer Griffin, Ari Shapiro, Jonathan Kaplan, Rick Klein, Mike Allen, Olivier Knox, Erik Wemple, Nathan Burchfiel, Andrea Mitchell, Mike DeBonis, Anne Kornblut, April Ryan, Amy Morris, Keith Koffler, Mark Silva, Ann Compton, Mark Knoller, Betsy Fischer, Katherine O'Hearn, Pamela Brown, Beverly Kirk, Wendell Goler, Glenn Kessler, Susan Page, Michael Crowley, Claudia Milne) Also, drop us a line to let us know who else you'd like FishbowlDC to interview. They must work in the Washington area and you must include their email address. When's the last time you volunteered? Where? It's been a few months (thanks for the guilt trip), but I serve meals at N Street Village. Who is your favorite active journalist? Charles Osgood. I love CBS Sunday This Morning and no other news anchor can pull off a bow-tie the way he does -- or get away with writing lead-ins that rhyme. What did you have for breakfast? Coffee, english muffin with peanut butter and more coffee. What one toiletry item could you not live without? A toothbrush. If you could have one superpower, which one would it be? This is my favorite question on the Date Lab questionnaire. Everyone wants to fly to avoid DC traffic or to go to exotic places. I think I'd like to have Samantha's nose from Bewitched. With a simple nose wiggle I could clean my apartment, end up in Italy or freeze time while I finish whatever story I've been dawdling on. Red or white wine? If it has bubbles in it, white. Otherwise, red PG-13 or R? Either. No preference. Lincoln, Jefferson or Washington Memorial? Lincoln. Leg or breast (chicken, of course) Wings with hot sauce. Friday night or Saturday night? Saturday. "Wedding Crashers" or "Old School"? Holy Shirts and Pants ... I can't pick between these two. I have to go with a double feature. The Palm or Cafe Milano? Stoneys. Yankees or Red Sox? Neither Jenna or Barbara? Jameson or Dare? I'll have to go with Jenna for her raw acting talent. McSteamy or McDreamy? I stay away from McAnything, but I'm told a McGriddle is the perfect remedy for a hangover. Leno or Letterman? I don't watch either often and which one I choose depends on the guest. Stewart or Colbert? The truthiness of the matter is that I Tivo both. Boxers or briefs? Boxer briefs. Fun colors and patterns encouraged.
