What has the Newseum done to honor Tim Russert (who helped make the Newseum happen)?
On Friday evening, they posted a story on their Web site about Russert's life and death.
Saturday morning, they installed a special exhibit in their News History Gallery examining Russert's life and contributions to the field. The exhibit will be up at least through tomorrow.
Beginning Saturday, they displayed a special memorial graphic on the Atrium big screen and periodically played film clips featuring Russert on that screen as well. They also displayed this graphic and played the clips in their Big Screen Theater. These clips will continue to play on both screens through Wednesday as well.
On Saturday evening, they hung a banner outside, above the Newseum entrance with a photo of Russert, his name and his birth and death years.
During their scheduled Inside Media programs with George Michael (Saturday) and Michael Isikoff (Sunday), both guests shared their personal experiences with/memories of Russert.
