How many suits do you own? 2, thanks to Hotline's dress code. What word do you routinely misspell? teh Did you see Brokeback Mountain? Nope. Did you see The Da Vinci Code? No. There are a lot of movies I haven't seen. What's the name of your cell phone ring? Vibrate, or "Talk" What time did you get up this morning? 5:00, then 5:05, then 5:10, then 5:15 ... When did you last cry and why? Since 99% of the people reading this have never heard of me, I'll just say when the Yankees lost to the Tigers. Which of the seven deadly sins are you? Gluttony. I spend more time thinking about food than most things. Beach, city or country? Italy. Would you say you're cute? Pretty? Hot? Beautiful? Yeah none of those.
What color is your bathroom? Off-white. How many emails do you receive a day, roughly? Probably 200 or so. Most from a certain Last Call editor. What's your opinion of New York City? For a long time I'd tell people I was from "just outside New York" instead of NJ. People thought I was crazy for commuting from Jersey into the city for high school (gratuitous Regis plug) but I couldn't imagine a better experience. The food, the Yankees ... Nothing really compares. What's your favorite letter? M. What single person played the biggest role / had the biggest influence on your journalism career? I'd say two people, both professors of mine at Loyola. Andy Ciofalo has just been a great supporter and mentor. And Noella Kertes (of rival CQ), besides being a great teacher, is most responsible for me coming to DC and is a great source of advice. Have you ever downloaded a podcast? If so, which one? Yes -- "PTI", NPR's "It's All Politics," "The Ricky Gervais Show", and AP's Baseball Podcast, to name a few. Who's your all-time favorite American Idol candidate? I only usually watch the idiots in the beginning. When's the last time you volunteered? Where? A few months ago with The Hotline at Sam's Inn here in DC. Who is your favorite active journalist? Other than the current and ex-Hotliners I know and love, I'll say Mark Bowden. I was lucky enough to take a class with him in college. I'm also a big Tony Kornheiser fan. What did you have for breakfast? Honey Nut Cheerios What's your favorite item of clothing? Sweatpants. What one toiletry item could you not live without? Soap? If you could have one superpower, which one would it be? Invisibility. How easy would reporting be then? Better role model: GIJoe? Barbie? I'm from a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle generation.
