A Nielsen release announced, "Day two of the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday August 26, 2008 featured a speech by Sen. Hillary Clinton that was carried live during primetime on eight networks -- ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, FOX News Channel, MSNBC, BET and TV One. While coverage varied by network, all eight aired live coverage from approximately 10-11:15PM (ET)". The all household number was 20,066. Also Nielsen notes that Hillary's night (26.0 million viewers) had higher ratings than Michelle's night (22.3 million viewers)."
A NBC release announced, "On the second night of the Democratic National Convention, more than 7.966 million Americans turned to the networks of NBC News. With Brian Williams anchoring the coverage live from Denver, NBC News led the night with 5.976 million total viewers, attracting 26% more than ABC and 56% more than CBS."

An ABC release announced, "On night two of the Democratic National Convention in Denver, ABC News' primetime coverage averaged 4.76 million Total Viewers and a 1.4/4 among Adults 25-54, placing second among the broadcast networks. The coverage aired live across the country from 10-11:13 p.m., ET. From Monday to Tuesday night, ABC grew its Total Viewing audience by 590,000."

CBS News announced the launch of a website (www.cbsconventionpress.com) "specifically for the Democratic and Republican National Conventions. The site provides access to biographies of on-air personnel, transcripts of news segments or entire broadcasts, press releases, photos from the conventions, behind-the-scenes videos including the nightly webcast, miscellaneous items and the daily c-note. Materials are added throughout the day to provide the most up-to-date information."
