A release announced, "ABC News' Vinita Nair has been named co-anchor of 'World News Now' and 'America This Morning,' News President David Westin announced today. She joins Jeremy Hubbard as co-anchor of ABC News' early morning news programs. In addition, Ms. Nair will contribute reports to all other ABC News' broadcasts and platforms."
An ABC release announced, "ABC's 'World News with Charles Gibson' was the most-watched evening newscast among Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Households last week. The broadcast was up 16% among Total Viewers and 17% among Adults 25-54 compared to the previous week. The broadcast delivered its largest Total Viewing advantage over 'NBC Nightly News' (+520,000) since the week of August 13, 2007 and its largest Adult 25-54 advantage over NBC (+150,000) since the week of April 7, 2008. World News' total viewing lead (2,670,000) over 'CBS Evening News' was the largest since the week of January 21, 2008 and its Adult 25-54 lead over Evening News (780,000) was the largest since the week of May 19, 2008."
