Atlantic Hires CohenFrom its release: As its online properties grow in audience and influence, The Atlantic has recruited WIRED's Executive Editor Bob Cohn for the newly-created role of editorial director, TheAtlantic.com. Reporting to Editor James Bennet and based in Washington , DC , Cohn will oversee the iconic publishing brand's digital editorial efforts, including its closely-followed blogs, web-only dispatches, online delivery of magazine content and new initiatives. During October, TheAtlantic.com drew a record 36.8 million page views, 4.5 million unique visitors and 15.3 million sessions--more than doubling the record figures set in August. Traffic was fueled by the commentary and analysis of The Atlantic's wide-ranging team of bloggers--including Andrew Sullivan, Marc Ambinder, Ta-Nehisi Coates, Ross Douthat, Megan McArdle, Jeffrey Goldberg, James Fallows and Clive Crook.
