ABC Welcomes Klein
ABC’S Paul Mason welcomes Rick Klein in an email to staffers:
Today we welcome Rick Klein as our new Senior Political Reporter and author of the new version of The Note. Rick will contribute stories to all ABC News broadcasts and platforms including political coverage and analysis on ABCNews.com. He will work closely with David Chalian, and add his considerable experience in reporting on government and politics to our Political Unit.
Rick joins ABC News from The Boston Globe where he covered Congress and national politics. He joined the Globe in 2000. Prior to coming to Washington in 2004 to cover the Bush-Cheney campaign, Klein covered the Massachusetts State House and Boston City Hall. He previously worked as a metro reporter at The Dallas Morning News.
A native of Long Island, N.Y., Klein graduated with a degree in politics from Princeton University, where he served as editor-in-chief of The Daily Princetonian. He lives on Capitol Hill with his wife, Laine.
