‘America’s Most Powerful’ Woman to Keynote NBCU Breakfast, Locale a Mystery

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) will keynote a breakfast in Manhattan on Sept. 28 with NBC Universal CEO Jeff Zucker. The event is a “Power of the Purse” breakfast and will be held on Tuesday, September 28. The exact location of the breakfast, however, is still secret. “It’s obviously going to be limited attendance and we’re afraid if we reveal the exact location we’ll get a barrage of camera crews,” said NBCU Spokeswoman Hilary Smith, who, when pressed, acknowledged that the breakfast would be a fancy affair at a very nice restaurant or a hotel.

The breakfast, hosted by Lauren Zalaznick, President of NBC Universal Women & Lifestyle Entertainment Networks, is themed “Women In Power: Marketing To The Educated Consumer” and is an official part of Advertising Week in New York.

Zucker will conduct the Q&A with Pelosi, focusing on her role as “arguably the most powerful woman in America,” and her thoughts on the “state of” women today.

Another “powerful” woman on the panel will be founder and Editor-in Chief of The Daily Beast, Tina Brown.
