Atlantic Appoints Clive Crook To New Post

Now that The Earth Moved and the Atlantic is officially a Washington media story: Word that the Economist’s Deputy Editor, Clive Crook, will be becoming the (a?) senior editorial adviser to Atlantic Media, the parent company of National Journal, the Atlantic (Monthly), and Government Executive.

The Economist announced it this morning in London, and Atlantic Media was supposed to announce this afternoon here in D.C. We haven’t seen the release, so if anyone wants to pass it along, please do.

Is Crook, who’s already been writing for Atlantic Media, being groomed to take over Cullen Murphy’s job?
