Bidding Stern Adieu
Paul Farhi reports today that the Howard Stern recently registered his lowest ratings in Washington “in years, and possibly decades.”
Evidently Stern’s imminent departure to Sirius satellite radio is shifting his focus, and both he and his fans have checked out of the show.
The other interesting radio news for the region? Air America “went from bad to nonexistent. After WWRC recorded a mere fraction of a rating point in the spring with syndicated shows… Arbitron couldn’t detect a measurable listenership for the station this time around.”
Ouch.
