CongressDaily Hires New Tax and Trade Reporter

Jason Dick, Editor of CongressDaily, sent out this memo yesterday, announcing the new hire of Kelsey Snell, a new tax and trade staff writer.

Snell was most recently at NPR, where she was completing projects for “Weekend All Things Considered” and working on the national desk.

She begins on Sept. 27.

Read the full internal memo after the jump…

Colleagues,

Please join me in welcoming our new tax and trade staff writer: Kelsey Snell.

Kelsey comes to us from NPR, where she is finishing up a couple of short-term gigs at “Weekend All Things Considered” and lending a hand on their national desk. A graduate of Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, she also has a bachelorÂ’s degree from DePaul University.

While at Medill and its news service, she wrote national stories from Chicago and Washington for McClatchy Newspapers, Politics Daily, and WAMU. SheÂ’s spent time writing and editing for web, print and radio, so sheÂ’ll fit right in with our increasingly multiplatform newsroom.

From her educational pedigree, you might guess sheÂ’s a Chicago native, and you’d be right. For those of you keeping score at home, sheÂ’s a Cubs fan.

She starts two weeks from today, Sept. 27th.

Sincerely,

Jason Dick
Editor, CongressDaily
