Dissing Carlson’s ‘Situation’

tuckercarlsonsit.jpgHotline’s Editor Vaughn Ververs reviews (and by reviews we mean “tears into itsy-bitsy tiny little pieces”) Tucker Carlson’s new “Situation” on MSNBC. Here’s the Zagat’s Guide Version of his column:

This “‘Crossfire’ on steroids” is a “think-free show” which has “fallen flat with viewers” and been “largely unnoticed by TV critics.” While Carlson is a “likable but not overbearing presence,” the show could improve by spending “less time obsessing about his bowtie,” which is a “distraction.”

But the show’s “biggest problem” is “it’s no different than anything else on cable.” Finally, “If Tucker Carlson’s ‘The Situation’ is really “changing the pace of news,” this is one race we’d rather not run.”
