Don’t Ever Expect a Straight Answer
The Nation’s David Corn did a quickie interview with the Reliable Source today, in which we learn he had a shaggy standard poodle named Cognac, authored a 1999 political thriller novel, that he most resembles Robert De Niro’s brother, and his favorite quote is “Hypocrisy is the currency of Washington.”
His nomination for today’s quote of the day comes, though, from his response to the prompt ‘something I’ve tried and never will do again’: “Asking White House spokesman Scott McClellan a question and expecting a straight answer.”
Touché.
