“Ear Witness” Former Defense Secretary Cohen Appears In Situation Room
“I was an ear witness, because I heard the first shot ring out. And there was no mistaking on my part. I’ve heard many gunshots in the past, and it was clear what was going on.”
That was former Defense Secretary William Cohen live on CNN’s “The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer” this evening. Both Cohen and his wife Janet, who also appeared on the show, were on their way into the Holocaust Museum during today’s shooting.
Janet was at the museum for rehearsals of her play “Anne and Emmett,” the debut of which has since been postponed. Cohen was visiting her and says he was about 30-40 feet away when the incident occurred.
