Jill Nando tells us: “DC and Baltimore’s Funniest Radio Personality Contest last night at the DC Improv was a blast. (Yes, it evolved into including Charm City because so few DC radio types had the guts to get on stage.) Thanks go to everyone who came out and especially the contestants who put on one amazing show. Highlights included G. Gordon Liddy’s prison stories, Steve Medley’s DCRTV reference, an hysterical video from Greaseman, Carson’s ‘ED’ tales, and Jim Bohannon’s introductions. The winner was Mickey Cucchiella (right) – morning guy from 98 Rock, who admitted twice on stage that he was letting loose because he didn’t care if he won!” WBAL-AM’s Chip Franklin finished second. Medley, the unemployed morning man from now defunct WARW, took “home” (currently beneath a Whitehurst Freeway overpass) third place. And Kirk McEwen of WHFS was the honorable mention recipient.
