Jason Binn’s Troops Secure D.C. Beachhead

As we first announced last month, the “sharp and market-savvy” former Washington Business Journal sales manager Paige Bishop will be publisher of the forthcoming Capitol File magazine, according to a new release from Niche Media, the magazine’s parent company.

Also joining the staff will be head of client services Nazy Nazhand (what a name!), former Washington Life advertising director, and senior account manager Francine Berk as senior account manager. Nazhand will oversee the magazine’s fashion and luxury business, and Berk, a former account manager at U.S. Airways, will work with the area’s travel, hospitality, and restaurant community.

Capitol File, one of three new uber-lifestyle magas launching in D.C. this year, is the first foray into the Washington magazine world by the founder of Gotham, Aspen Peak, and L.A. Confidential, celebrity publisher/playboy Jason Binn–who is so cool that he merits his own category on Gawker.
