McCutcheon to Co-author The Almanac of American Politics

In a memo to National Journal staff today, Jackie Koszczuk announced that Chuck McCutcheon will join Michael Barone as co-author of The Almanac of American Politics. Memo below:

Please join me in welcoming Chuck McCutcheon as the new co-author of The Almanac of American Politics. McCutcheon is simply one of the best journalists working in Washington today; he is both a gifted writer and a superbly sourced chronicler of national events, particularly the byzantine workings of Capitol Hill. McCutcheon is a former co-editor of Politics in America, and has written for National Journal, the Christian Science Monitor and other leading publications. Educated at Northwestern University, he is the author of two books, including the 2002 Nuclear Reactions, a behind-the-scenes examination of U.S. nuclear storage policy. McCutcheon’s contributions to the 2012 print and Web editions will supplement those of Almanac founder and lead author Michael Barone.
